1. Making a Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order. By placing an order with us you are automatically agreeing to these terms and conditions. We accept credit and debit card payments. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.

We accept Visa and MasterCard. Back-ordered items are not charged until they are shipped. If you do not wish to pay online, you may send your card information via phone, fax or by post to us and we will then only process your order once we have received your written request and also received cleared funds from you.

If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us immediately after having placed your order so that we can correct the mistake for you as soon as possible.

2. Orders

With respect to items sold by Christopher Rushbrooke, we cannot confirm the price of an item until you order. Your order will not be processed until you have accepted electronically our Terms and Conditions and we have received cleared paid funds from you. Despite our best efforts, a small number of the items in our catalogue may be mispriced. If an item's correct price is higher than our stated price, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before shipping or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation. We reserve the right to withdraw products, amend our prices or cancel an order due to lack of stock availability.

3. Shipping and Handling

There is no shipping charge for UK orders, and there is no additional handling charge unless the overall weight exceeds 20kg, deliveries outside the UK will be priced on an individual basis, please contact us for details.

4. Delivery Schedule

We aim to deliver your order right away. We will normally send your order to you within 7 business days. We use Interlink Express which provides in UK next business day delivery service and normally 7 days approximately for EU delivery, together with a similar fast service for overseas, depending on territory. Just let us know if you have special delivery requirements and we'll do our best to meet them.

You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.

You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.

5. Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order it for you subject to back stock availability. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

6. Tax Charges

For orders made from the UK, VAT at the applicable rate is included, currently 17.5%. For EU and overseas countries, different tax treatments may apply. Please note that additionally goods may be subject to overseas customs duties which are payable by the customer.

7. Credit Card Security

When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption, on a secure system operated by PayPal. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

8. Guarantee

We guarantee your satisfaction. All of our products come with the manufacturer's guarantee., providing goods have not been damaged by you or a third party acting on your behalf, or you or such third party have not followed the product instructions for correct use and instalment. We also need you to return the product to us in its original packaging. We advise you to retain the original packaging for at least 30 days from date of receipt.

10. Privacy Policy

Christopher Rushbrooke Associates does not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party. Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the 'Remember Me' option. They are also used after you have logged on as part of that process. You can turn off cookies within your browser by going to 'Tools | Internet options | Privacy' (in Internet Explorer) and selecting to block cookies. If you turn off cookies, you will be unable to place orders or benefit from the other features that use cookies. Data collected by this site is used to:

11. Returns Policy

Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.

You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 7 working days for a full refund, including the cost of delivery. Do this by contacting us by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. Your refund will be paid within 30 days. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.

Any goods returned should be in saleable condition and returned in their original packaging. We therefore recommend that you retain the original packaging for at least 30 days after delivery of goods.

These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.

None of these terms affect your statutory legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.

Nothing in these terms is intended to affect your statutory rights. If there is a problem you may receive a refund or replacement under the terms of our Guarantee. Our liability to you will always be limited to a full refund of the goods purchased. We will not compensate for delivery delays or failures. In these circumstances our liability to you will be limited to a refund of the delivery charges you have paid. Our liability to you specifically excludes compensation for indirect or consequential loss or damage however it arises and except as described above will always be limited to a refund of your payment for the relevant product(s). Nothing in this clause, however, limits our liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for breach of any obligation implied by Section 12 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979 or any other liability that may not be excluded or limited as a matter of English law.

12. Insolvency: Non-Payment

Non- payment of the full purchase price of the goods, for whatever reason, by a customer, including any threatened liquidation or insolvency or voluntary administrative proceedings in relation to corporate customers, terminates the customer's right to possession of the goods, and customer hereby permits Christopher Rushbrooke to reclaim them in such circumstances from the customer's premises.
